Lucy is a kind, caring, committed and motivated teacher with 13 years’ experience in SEND education. Working with children and young adults with a range of differing needs and abilities such as autism, ASD, PDA, ADHD and SPD, from EYFS to KS3 and beyond. She is passionate about making education fun, meaningful and breaking down barriers to learning so that each individual reaches their full potential. Her passion and interests stem from the continued learning and development initiatives, with high views on the state of health and education of young people.

She has worked closely with children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, GDD and Sensory Processing Needs within EYFS to KS2. Megan is looking forward to putting her years of experience into changing the lives of the children at Birchwood School.

Robyn has worked in education for 4 years. Robyn enjoys supporting children with SEN. She has been a 1-1, a 2-1 and key worker within the designated provision she previously worked at. Robyn also has experience supporting a child with SEN (autism) in a mainstream class. Robyn is an eager young woman who is extremely passionate about her role in our school. Her career goals are to be an SEN teacher, also to gain knowledge and experience with the Autistic spectrum and the teaching side of this.

After beginning his career in the care industry Daniel realised that his skillset lies within building strong relationships with both the team and the people he works with. Daniel is experienced in working with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SPD, Fragile X syndrome and PDA. A lifelong background of sports has encouraged a nature of energy and enthusiasm when working closely with students whilst also being able to just sit back and listen.

As a Special Police Officer, Lisa gained further experience and knowledge in verbal and non-verbal communication, working with people from all sectors in society.
After completing her Level 2 teaching assistant course in 2017, Lisa has gained lots of experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD and Downs Syndrome. Lisa has recently completed her SEND diploma and hopes her knowledge, enthusiasm and experience will help her to support the pupil’s within the school to achieve their full potential.
